Chequerplate Stuff

Chequerplate Stuff was founded by drummer and ex

drum shop owner  Steve Poensgen in 2008, after

realising the musical potential of Chequerplate when

stumbling across some leftovers from his kitchen floor

laid earlier ! 

Following a few intensive weeks in the shed, armed

only with a hacksaw and drill, combined with his vast

knowledge of the drum and percussion market, the first

prototypes were emerging and sounding better than

anticipated. 

The official launch took place at  Music Live in Oct 2008,

and since then the range has gradually been improved

and added to. 

All of the Chequerplate Stuff instruments are designed

and manufactured in Shrewsbury, Shropshire (GB), using

only the finest ingredients, and every single part used to

create the increasing range is available as spares for

added peace of mind !
